The New York Times reports that the Democratic senator from California, Kamala (D), is one of the most powerful female teachers in the United States.
Harris is a master of the classroom.
She’s been a leader in the fight against sexism in education, and in 2016, she became the first female U.S. senator to be elected to her home state.
In a piece on her leadership in education published earlier this year, Harris said that she has taught more than 100,000 students in more than 130 different classrooms, from kindergarten through eighth grade.
“I teach in a classroom where the gender equity is at the very forefront of our conversation,” Harris said.
“It’s been challenging, but the learning I have received and have experienced has been invaluable.”
She added: “It’s a privilege to be a leader of the fight to ensure that every child has access to the full range of academic resources, regardless of gender.”
Harris is one half of the Harris family that is the custodian of the iconic Harris Center in Los Angeles, which is the world’s largest preschool.
The Harris Center was designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry.
As the home of the world-renowned museum of contemporary art, it’s one of many iconic buildings in the city.
For Harris, the Harris Center is home to the school where she has been a teacher since she was a little girl.
Harris’s campaign for U.N. ambassador was the subject of a profile in the New York Post this summer.
It was one of three Democratic candidates vying for the U.n. post.
With the 2020 presidential election in mind, Harris is already gearing up for the next election.
On Wednesday, she is expected to make a series of appearances at the annual Democratic National Convention, in Philadelphia.
One of those appearances will be at the Harris Museum.
And just like in 2016?
