Panhandle educator Dinesh Dhar, who was previously the dean of medical education at the University of South Florida, has resigned, a school official said on Tuesday.
Dhar, 51, has been a director of medical programs at the school since 2015.
He was also a medical director for the South Florida Medical Association, the state’s largest medical association, until 2017.
He was also the medical director of the College of Pharmacy, which includes the medical schools at Miami-Dade College of Medicine and the University Health System.
Dgar had been the medical dean at Miami International University since 2013.
He previously worked as the director of medicine at Miami University Medical Center and at the Children’s Hospital of Miami.
Dhan, who graduated from the University College of Art and Design, had previously served as a doctor of education at Miami Dade College, the medical school at Miami Florida International University, the Southwestern Florida College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Miami Dades University of Ophthalmology.
