The Texas Hunter education program provides hunting instruction for the Texas population, as well as hunting trips for children.
Taught by licensed hunters and registered with the state, the Texas Hunter program teaches the basics of hunting and fishing, including hunting safety and ethics, hunting with firearms, and basic techniques for hunting.
The program is administered by the Texas Wildlife Service and is designed to support hunters and fishermen in their efforts to hunt and fish in Texas.
The Texas Hunter educational program also includes hunting trips and recreational hunting for all ages, including those in the home.

Texas Hunters education is also offered through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD).
The TPWD has partnered with the Texas Hunters Education program to create a program that is free of charge for the entire Texas population.
